to attend our first annual summit: "Youth and Democracy in the Americas Summit – Challenges Facing new generations." The summit offers young leaders of the Americas the opportunity to present the main challenges facing their nation to diplomats, politicians, and government officials. They will also share their goals and experiences working to overcome these challenges and will gain knowledge on how to strengthen democracy in their countries.
The three-day summit will take place on October 16-18, 2019, during the framework of Hispanic Heritage Month and will be held at the House of Representatives, the U.S Senate, and the Organization of American States.
The summit will give young leaders coming from Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Argentina, Brazil, Haiti, Panama, Chile, Bolivia, Peru and other countries in the Americas, the unique opportunity to interface with diplomats engaged in efforts to maintain democracy in the region. They will also learn from knowledgeable political leaders, as well as from other young leaders on the role they can play in that process.
The event will feature the participation of heads of state, regional and international political leaders, diplomats, as well as members of the Organization of American States, U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Students should bring Student ID. For General attendants state ID Picture will be required!
